GamaPrópria insists on being an active partner in the protection of the environment. The processes utilized in the transformation of leather hides include new work methods as well as the use of chemical products capable of minimizing any environmental impact.

The liquid waste produced is submitted to an initial treatment before being released into the general collector.
The residual tanning wash is stored in a reservoir and later treated so that it can be converted to chrome liquor and reutilized in the tanning process.

At the moment, we are experimenting on converting leather scraps and solid waste from fleshing into something which might be useful in some other type of industry.
